🌿 Introduction to the Final Four Letters
The Arabic alphabet ends with four important letters:
و ه ء ي
Each letter has its own pronunciation and writing style. Some of these letters can also have special roles as long vowels.
Understanding these letters helps you read Arabic words more accurately and recognize how sounds are formed in Qur'anic recitation.

ء — The Hamza Sound
Hamza is a special Arabic letter that represents a clear stopping sound. Although it sounds similar to a short "A", it is **not a vowel**.
Hamza is unique because its name does not directly describe its sound. It must be pronounced clearly when reading Arabic.

Waw can stretch a Damma sound when:

Yaa stretches the Kasra sound when:
- Yaa has Sukoon (ْ)
